AURORA at Light + Building 2022
At the Light + Building, Aurora Lichtwerke GmbH presented itself with two partners, the company Nextsense S.r.l. and the company Molex.
Participation in Light + Building 2022
AURORA Lichtwerke GmbH will take part in Light + Building as an exhibitor.
Light + Building will be held in Frankfurt am Main from 2 to 6 October 2022. The focus will be on intelligent and connected solutions, forward-looking technologies and current design trends.
AURORA Lichtwerke is ensuring protection against viruses and bacteria on the express bus
Aurora Lichtwerke, with its headquarters in Eichstätt, has developed an LED light module under their “AUROSUN powered by BIOVITAE” brand that is able to actively fight viruses and bacteria. In cooperation with local bus company Jägle GmbH, the first express bus from Eichstätt to Ingolstadt has now been equipped with a total of 26 AUROSUN bus modules as part of a pilot project.
AURORA’S pilot project for active virus control using ambient lighting
Aurora Lichtwerke and the town of Eichstätt have announced that they have launched a pilot project at St. Walburg Primary School using “Biovitae LED” technology. The aim is to actively combat viruses and bacteria using ambient lighting. The LED ceiling lights were installed in the classroom of what will be the 2nd grade just in time for the start of the school year. As well as lighting the classroom, these also provide effective germ reduction.

Aurora Lichtwerke has a tumultuous past behind it; during this past year as well, the lighting manufacturer has been threatened with closure. Now the plant has a future again. Thanks to a small LED bulb that destroys viruses and bacteria.

Successfully fighting SARS-CoV-2-Viruses with Light
Aurora Lichtwerke and the Dutch lighting innovation company Seaborough are developing an LED tube that is able to actively combat coronaviruses with the unique BIOVITAE technology – without the use of UV-C disinfection technology, which is often harmful in the event of direct exposure.
